Clearance Form & Artist Agreement

this form is optional with standard film festival entry

The KANZA Film Festival, hereafter referred to as The Kanza and (print your name) ____________________________________ as owner of rights to (print the title of your film) _________________________

_______________________________________________________________ hereafter referred to as the movie agree to the following.

The owner retains all rights to the movie and is only allowing the limited use as outlined here. The owner may use their movie otherwise as they see fit.

• The movie can be shown on broadcast and cable TV facilities as part of the “Best of The Kanza” series. The purpose is to give the artist exposure for their work and to broaden interest in The Kanza. No money is being paid to either Kanza or the owner of the movie for this exposure.

•The movie may become part of the “Best of the KANZA” DVD.

•The movie may only be sold as part of “The Best of KANZA” DVD.

•Clips of the move may be used for promotional purposes.

•The owner verifies they have all copyright permission to use any material in their movie and assumes all penalties and legal fees for illegal use of copyrighted materials in their movie.

•The owner may end this agreement at any time with written notice to the Kanza. The permission to use the movie extends until all copies of the “Best of the KANZA” already produced or sold or for the duration of contracts already completed.

To qualify for Early Registration for the Kanza Film Festival (free registration) the artist MUST submit this Clearance Form and Artist Agreement with their entry received by the Early Registration Deadline. If your film is chosen for inclusion on the “Best of the Kanza” DVD you will receive a signed copy of this agreement form along with notification or your inclusion from The Kanza.
