About The Kanza Thank you to all who helped make the 2nd Annual Kanza Film Festival a success. We had some GREAT films. If you missed it, well, make your plans to join us next year for the 3rd Annual Kanza Film Festival. We will be working on plans to make our third year the biggest and best Kanza Film Festival yet. For those who could not make it to the actual Festival - we know it's tough to come all the way from California, Indiana and beyond, so we won't keep you waiting to find out who won. The official results are posted below and clips from the winning entries will be posted during the next week on The Films page. The Kanza Film Festival began in 2007 with the goal to bring a quality venue for aspiring filmmakers to get their films shown, find new outlets for the best films and help inspire and promote movie-making as an outlet, an educational pursuit, and a career path for those so inclined. We are in the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) organization to better serve the film community of the Midwest and beyond. The 2008 Kanza Fest is now history - so it's time to get to work on your entry for next year - we hope you will submit your film for the 3rd Annual in 2009 and make plans to be in Atchison, Kansas to see some of the best work of young filmmakers (and older ones too) from all across North America in 2009. Full details, rules, entry forms for 2009 are coming soon.
Entry Deadline & Details for the 2009 Kanza in April 2009 coming soon!
